Handy Glass & Door LLCSliding Door Repair & Glass Replacement (407) 561-9844

Foggy & insulated glass replacement

If you see fog, water spots or a milky haze between the two panes of glass that you can't wipe off, the seal of the insulated unit has failed. In the Florida heat that happens more than people think. Cleaning won't help, and the glass loses much of its insulation. We replace the insulated glass unit and keep your existing frame.

Signs you need this

  • Haze or fog between the panes that won't wipe off
  • Water droplets or streaks inside the glass
  • The door area feels hotter than the rest of the room
  • White mineral stains inside the unit

What we do on the visit

  • Measure the insulated unit and check the frame
  • Order a new sealed double-pane unit to size
  • Remove the failed unit and install the new one
  • Reseal and test the panel

Pricing

Priced after measuring, like all glass. The on-site estimate is free.

How a repair goes

  1. Send a photo or call

WhatsApp a photo or video of the door, or call. We'll ask a few questions and give you an idea of what's going on.

  2. Free estimate at your home

The technician measures, checks the rollers, track and glass, and gives you the exact price before touching anything.

  3. Repair, usually the same visit

Our van carries common rollers, locks and hardware, so most door repairs are finished on the first trip. Glass is ordered to size.

Questions we get a lot

Can the fog be cleaned or defogged?

Not permanently. Once the seal fails, moisture keeps coming back. Replacing the insulated unit is the fix that lasts.

Do I need a new door?

No. We replace the glass unit inside your existing panel.

Tell us what's wrong with the door
