Handy Glass & Door LLCSliding Door Repair & Glass Replacement (407) 561-9844

Sliding door locks & handles

A sliding door that doesn't lock is an open door. Most of the time the lock itself is fine and the panel has simply dropped, so the latch misses the keeper. Other times the mechanism inside is broken or the handle is cracked. We figure out which, and fix it so the door locks with no effort.

Signs you need this

  • You have to lift or push the door to make it lock
  • The latch turns but doesn't catch
  • The handle is loose, cracked or broken off
  • You want a second lock for kids or security

What we do on the visit

  • Check panel height and alignment first
  • Adjust or replace the keeper on the frame
  • Replace the mortise lock and handle set with the right model
  • Add a foot lock or a secondary lock if you want one

Pricing

The estimate is free. Lock and handle prices depend on the model of your door; the technician shows you options and prices on site.

How a repair goes

  1. Send a photo or call

WhatsApp a photo or video of the door, or call. We'll ask a few questions and give you an idea of what's going on.

  2. Free estimate at your home

The technician measures, checks the rollers, track and glass, and gives you the exact price before touching anything.

  3. Repair, usually the same visit

Our van carries common rollers, locks and hardware, so most door repairs are finished on the first trip. Glass is ordered to size.

Questions we get a lot

Can you match my existing handle?

In most cases, yes. We carry common styles and can order the exact one for your door's brand.

Is a broomstick in the track enough?

It helps, but a foot lock or a keyed secondary lock is stronger and easier to use every day.

Tell us what's wrong with the door
