Tempered glass replacement
Tempered glass is heat-treated safety glass: it's several times stronger than regular glass and breaks into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards. It's required in doors and many locations near floors. Because it can't be cut after tempering, we measure on site and order it made to size.
Signs you need this
- Broken glass in a door, sidelite or partition
- Old glass that isn't tempered where it should be
- Replacing glass near a floor, tub or walkway
- A panel you want upgraded to safety glass
What we do on the visit
- Measure the opening and check the frame
- Confirm thickness and whether it must be tempered
- Order tempered glass made to size
- Install and seal it in your frame
Pricing
Tempered glass is priced after measuring because size and thickness drive the cost. The estimate is free.

Questions we get a lot
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We come out, measure and check everything, and give you the exact price. If you decide not to go ahead, you don't pay anything.
Can tempered glass be cut to fit?
No. Tempered glass can't be cut after it's made, which is why we measure first and order it to size.
How do I know if my glass is tempered?
Tempered glass usually has a small etched mark in a corner. We check it at the estimate.
